Completion of the 1st Charter Examination and New Member enrollment

The first Chartered Examination was completed in September 2021. Seventeen members became corporate members of SLILA at the 12th Annual General Meeting in November 2021. They are now working as Chartered Landscape Architects and educators, contributing to the profession.

Establishment of the Sri Lanka Institute of Landscape Architects (SLILA) back in 2009

The Sri Lanka Institute of Landscape Architects (SLILA) was established in July 2009 under Act No. 33 of 2009. It was inaugurated in August 2009 under the patronage of Hon. Dinesh Gunawardena. The institute aims to develop the landscape architecture profession in Sri Lanka to international standards and support sustainable development.
